214 Merton will deliver much-needed housing to an underutilized site that is very well-served by the Davisville Subway Station. A proposed pedestrian connection from the building to the park, as well as retail storefronts will improve the public realm, activating the streetscape and providing greater access to the neighbourhood’s abundant amenities and services. The warm brick cladding from the podium up to the tower mimics the pattern of brick running bond, providing contextual design that is complementary to the character of the neighbourhood.
