Sami believes innovations emerge from problem solving rooted in design, technology and business creativity.

Joining the Studio in 2010, Sami leads the delivery of major master plan and mixed-use developments as well as the integration of technological change to our design processes. He played a lead role in developing the master plan for Downtown Markham, a neighbourhood of residential, commercial, retail and hospitality developments that encourages residents to live, work, shop and play locally. Currently, Sami leads a number of developments changing the shape of downtown Toronto. 700 Bay and 475 Yonge are large scale, complex, multi-site projects bringing intensification to the city’s core. Focused on working together with both the local community and the City, these projects deliver contextually responsive designs.

His approach to design is supported by coursework undertaken in OCAD University’s Strategic Foresight and Innovation program – complementing his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan, and his Advanced Certificate in Architecture from Toronto’s Ryerson University. An accredited LEED professional, Sami is a member of the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP. Sami’s skill set is complemented by an abundance of experience in BIM which he incorporates into the design and production processes at the firm.
