80 Atlantic has been recognized for excellence in sustainability with a Canadian Green Building Award in the Large Commercial/Industrial category. Pioneering a "Post & Beam 2.0" typology, the building is a prototype for the future of mass timber and sustainable construction. 80 Atlantic leverages the embodied carbon benefits of heavy timber, was designed with a high-performance building envelope with exterior insulation, underwent full building air filtration testing, and is fully integrated into the community to also support social sustainability goals, offering a courtyard shared with 60 Atlantic, well-lit laneway activated with art, and full-scale public views of the wood within.
