The Good City Debut

Last week marked a momentous occasion as our London studio proudly launched The Good City, an ambitious global project in partnership with Nippon Koei aimed at enhancing urban environments around the world. This initiative was kicked off with a series of presentations by industry leaders, including Roger Madelin CBE from BRITISH LAND REAL ESTATE LIMITED. We were also fortunate to hear from a panel of experts from diverse cities such as Lima, New Delhi, Toronto, and Tokyo, offering a wide array of insights into urban development challenges and solutions.

Our very own Design Director and Senior Associate, Harim Labuschagne, was one of the key speakers and spoke about the challenges and opportunities that Toronto faces during its rapid growth period.  The Good City initiative aims to collect and disseminate valuable insights from global cities experiencing significant growth and transformation.

This initiative is backed by The Academy of Urbanism and was launched simultaneously in Kuala Lumpur, underscoring its extensive international scope. The Good City initiative serves not only as a testament to our commitment to urban improvement but also functions as a dynamic platform for sharing expertise and advancing our vision for creating more sustainable, efficient, and livable cities across the globe.

These events are just the beginning of our long-term commitment to foster urban innovation through smarter energy use, the development of low-carbon transport and buildings, and the strategic application of technology and data.
