Director’s Guild of Canada (DGC) - Ontario

Location: Toronto, Canada
Client:
Directors Guild of Canada
Completion: 2021

Relocation to Toronto’s studio district, DGC Ontario expanded their footprint to house more staff and will create a 70-seat Dolby Atmos screening theatre in the future.

The existing two-storey building is a classic Toronto industrial red-brick and wood structure with leaded windows and skylights. The space celebrates the warmth and texture of the brick and wood beams and the newly built interiors will play off this rough ‘shell’ for an elegant and refined interior aesthetic.

The space also houses a 40-person training facility for members, a library, lounge and members hub, as well as administrative office for DGC national and provincial groups.
