AstraZeneca’s new Global R&D Centre and Corporate Headquarters underscore the biopharmaceutical company’s drive for scientific leadership. The 70,000m² (753,000 sq ft) building facilitates cross pollination between disciplines by integrating labs, open workspaces and breakout rooms around a landscaped courtyard. A saw-tooth roof draws light into the interior and the curved, zigzagging form fits beautifully into the site, inspiring the team and partners to push the boundaries of scientific innovation.

We are lead consultant for AstraZeneca’s new Global R&D Centre and Corporate Headquarters. We are also responsible for the executive architecture, combined engineering, landscape, interiors, acoustics and specialist lighting services and for delivering concept architect Herzog & de Meuron’s vision.
