We’re thrilled to share that two of our projects, BDP Quadrangle’s studio at The Well and Valhalla Village, have earned top honours at the 2024 Ontario Embodied Carbon Awards. These achievements celebrate our commitment to sustainable, low-carbon design.
BDP Quadrangle’s studio at The Well has been recognized as the winner in the ‘Interiors’ category for its thoughtful design, prioritizing inclusivity, wellness, and flexibility. This two-storey workspace embodies our commitment to human-centered design, offering adaptable layouts that encourage both collaboration and focused work. Setting a new standard in sustainable interior design, the studio fosters innovation while creating an environment where well-being and productivity thrive.
Valhalla Village has been awarded the ‘Large New Construction Project’ category for its groundbreaking approach to urban living. Designed for Kingsett Capital, this transformative, mixed-use community combines affordable housing with advanced sustainable practices, achieving the rigorous CAGBC Zero Carbon Green Building Design Standard. In addition to its commitment to sustainability, Valhalla Village enhances the neighbourhood with new public parks and community spaces, setting a new standard for accessible, attainable and sustainable urban development.
The Ontario Embodied Carbon Awards, presented in collaboration with Carbon Leadership Forum Ottawa, celebrate projects that lead the way in reducing embodied carbon and prioritizing sustainable innovation in Ontario.
