We are proud to announce that Les Klein, Principal and Co-founder, and Susan Ruptash, Principal Emeritus, of BDP Quadrangle have been named recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC). This prestigious award recognizes their significant contributions to the architectural profession and their lasting impact on communities across Canada.

Les Klein, Co-founding Principal of BDP Quadrangle, has been a visionary force in residential, urban design, sustainable architecture and adaptive reuse projects. His leadership on iconic developments from the transformation of 299 Queen Street West to the Indigenous Hub in Toronto and his innovative Green Ribbon proposal to create a park over the Gardiner Expressway has redefined urban spaces, enhancing both their functionality and beauty.

Susan Ruptash has been a pioneering advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout her career. As the co-founder of AccessAbility Advantage and creator of Human Space, Susan has been instrumental in shaping accessibility standards across Canada and around the world. Her leadership in promoting universal design has left a lasting legacy, ensuring that spaces are accessible and welcoming to all.

The King Charles III Coronation Medal is awarded to individuals who have made a remarkable difference in their communities and beyond.
