On Dec 1st, the third and final instalment of the Design for Inclusion Webinar series took place. Hosted by Human Space, an interdisciplinary panel of global experts examined how designing for social impact creates value in the built environment with a special focus on New York City. You can view the webinar
here and learn from some of the strongest voices in this field as they discuss things like:
- How all levels of government, developers, and community organizations are complying to guidelines and frameworks created around ESG targets, and why more than just lip service is needed to achieve these goals.
- ESG factors raise more complex issues like how investors behave, how to give priority to good health outcomes, and what real community engagement looks like in a professional world.
The panel consisted of
Lauren Zullo (Managing Director of Impact,
Jonathan Rose Companies),
Marc Norman (Associate Dean,
NYC Schack Institute of Real Estate), Gigi Li (Vice President, Government & Community Relations,
New York City Economic Development Corporation) and
Ossie Airewele (Residential and Mixed-Use Lead - North America,
BDP). The session will be moderated by
Rosalind Tsang (New York City Studio Director,
BDP).
